La Borderie is a charming spacious villa with private pool in a rural hamlet just outside the coastal town of Bretignolles sur Mer. It offers ideal family accommodation within easy reach of the town amenities and beaches. Just 2.1km (1.3 miles) from the town centre and 3.7km (2.3 miles) from the beach, so within cycling distance to both and with lots of holiday activities in the surrounding area. Cycle hire available locally, or you can pre-book with delivery from Bike Hire Direct.
The villa features an attractive modern interior with a vast living space, opening onto the poolside terrace. There are 4 bedrooms (two doubles and two configurable twin or double) each with their own shower room. The exterior has a private heated pool set in a sunny terrace area and garden. There is also a more shaded terrace off the kitchen for dining. The grounds are fully enclosed and gated.
Bretignolles sur Mer, midway between Les Sables d'Olonne and St Gilles Croix de Vie, offers you a tranquil town centre with shops, supermarket, restaurants, and market. the Sunday market during the summer season is one of the biggest in the area. There are four main beaches at Bretignolles. The beach of La Sauzaie is well known as an excellent surfing spot with well-formed rollers from mid to high tide. There are also lovely cliff-top walks and rocky coves to explore and the water sports centre offers equipment hire and tuition, kite-surf, sea kayaking, stand-up, etc.
Bretignolles is just 20km (13 miles) from Les Sables d'Olonne (see our article on this town) for a lively town centre, night life and casino, good shopping, fabulous markets, a zoo, several museums, boat trips and the famous spa centre. Nearby St Gilles Croix de Vie, at 12km (8 miles) is a charming port offering excellent facilities, daily markets and many holiday activities
