At La Haute Mare, the traditional farmhouse and the bake-house have been carefully renovated and converted to provide two quality holiday cottages with all the comforts of home.
It is possible to book this pair of Vendee cottages together for large groups, up to 16 people. A further studio apartment is also possible for 2 more people.
"Les Semailles" & "Les Moissons". These traditional style cottages have charming interiors and all the comforts of home. Each cottage sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms and each has 3 bathrooms. Each has its own terrace area and shares the heated fenced pool, the large lawn grounds, covered table tennis, boules, badminton, sand pit and several children's play houses (fort, gypsy caravan, car, chalet). The site is fully enclosed with fences and gates, making it ideal for children and there is a separate off-road parking area.
La Haute Mare is set in the village of St Aubin la Plaine, within easy reach of lovely beaches and in an area rich in holiday activities & sites to visit. St Aubin has a bar and a shop for basic necessities as well as a take-away pizzaria. The town of Ste Hermine is only 5 minutes away, where you will find restaurants, shops, a supermarket and an excellent market once a week where you can buy fresh fish, seafood and local produce. Just 20 miles / 33km from the nearest Vendee coast at La Faute sur Mer and with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Ideal for cycling, along quiet lanes and to the forest at Ste Gemme.
The shared heated pool is 12m x 6m and features a shallow paddling area on the top step, ideal for toddlers. The shallow end is 0.90m deep and the rest is 1.60m deep. The pool is fully fenced for safety and has underwater lights for late night swimming. Pool open and heated from late May to mid September. The owners live on site (some English spoken).
Note - whilst the motorway is not far away, it is well past the far side of the village and there is absolutely no noise or inconvenience.

Both cottages can be booked together at any time of the season for accommodating large groups, up to 16 people. In this case there remains potential use of the pool by guests in the studio apartment, unless this is included in the booking.
A Booking Form for each cottage is required, ie each is subject to it's own letting contract, although these can be in the same name if one person is booking on behalf of the whole group.
