This delightful cottage offers an excellent family holiday venue, sharing a large fenced swimming pool* and being only 7 miles / 11km from the sandy beaches of La Tranche sur Mer - see video. Set in the heart of the pretty village of La Jonchere, it is only a 1 minute walk down the shady path to the bar, with a shop for bread and basic necessities. The bar also does food on Friday evenings during the summer.
At the nearby village of Angles (3 miles / 5km) you will find a good supermarket, village shops, bar and restaurants and a weekly market. There is a nearer restaurant at St Benoist (just over a mile / 2km) and there is a highly recommended restaurant at nearby St Cyr en Talmondais (3 miles / 5km). Endless further choice of restaurants at the coast (from 7 miles / 11km).
Excellent activities for children nearby:
There is a go-kart track at just a 5 minute drive (7 yrs up to adult and a separate mini-track for 3 yrs upwards). Also a forest adventure park at 5 miles/8km and O'Gliss water park at 3 miles / 5km.
On the south Vendee coast you will find many holiday activities, including water sports, sailing, surfing, jet-skis, forest walks, cycle hire, indoor fun-pool, aquarium, golf course, canoeing in the fens, boat trips to La Rochelle and island of Re, and more...

Large open-plan lounge/dining room with fitted kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave, etc), satellite TV (some international channels in English), DVD, double bedroom, bedroom with bunks and single bed, shower room (washing machine), separate toilet. Covered terrace - ideal for relaxing on hot days and fenced with gate for peace of mind with young children. Garden dining furniture. Barbecue. Off-road parking (1 covered space). Electric heating. WiFI internet.
Shared heated fenced pool (12m x 6m, depth 0.9m to 1.5m), with entrance steps, safety gate. Pool-side terrace. Shared covered table tennis. In the grounds there is shared garden area with swings and slide #.
Season and pool opening dates - 1/6 to 14/9. Please note that the pool is closed from 8.30pm each evening.
