Select Villas
An ideal family friendly holiday venue and a perfect base for exploring the south-west Vendee, situated on the coast just outside the lively resort town of Les Sables d'Olonne. Sophora is one of the lovely villas on this select holiday development, offering a calm gated site amongst mature gardens and with some great additional holiday facilities. There is a good restaurant (rated "Excellent" on Trip Advisor), a tennis court, cycle hire, basket-ball and table tennis. There is a lovely sandy beach (Le Tanchet) at just over a mile (2.5km) and the sea-front beach of the town centre of Les Sables d'Olonne is at just over 3 miles (5km). You can pre-book bicycle hire, making it really simple to get around. There are also plenty of holiday activities and places to visit in the surrounding area (see the local information section below).

Accommodation comprises :
A comfortable, spacious villa with its own garden, dining terrace and private heated pool. Living / dining room, including TV (may have some international channels). WiFi Internet. Well equipped kitchen (including hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster). 3 bedrooms.
Ground floor - Double bedroom or twin bedroom, bathroom or shower room, separate toilet.
First floor - Double bedroom, double bedroom or twin bedroom, shower room with toilet.
"Double beds" are usually two 80cm beds side by side. Single beds are 80cm wide. Bathrooms may have a shower or a bath with shower attachment.
Private garden, private pool (typically 7m x 4m, depth 1.4m), with entrance steps and safety alarm (some villas may have a pool fence or a sliding enclosure). Garden dining furniture, 2 sun loungers. A covered dining terrace, or an awning, or a parasol for shade. A barbecue may be provided at some villas. 1 parking space adjacent to the villa (other parking spaces on the site).
There is a helpful management team on site, speaking English, French, Dutch and German.
Baby equipment available for hire.
Pets are accepted with an additional charge.
The private pool is open from April to the end of September. Pool heating is included for 27/4 to 30/9 and available as an option at €25 per day for other dates (requested at the time of booking). This may be subject to weather conditions in early and late season, with no garantie of temperature.
Some villas are available suitable for reduced mobility or wheelchair users - please enquire.
Start days other than Saturday and non-standard durations are possible outside 6/7 to 30/8.

On a calm residential site
Ideally situated in the south Vendee, near to Les Sables d'Olonne. On site you will find an excellent restaurant as well as a convenient bar with snacks and bread shop (July and August). There are a couple of nice bar/restaurants at the sea (from 1 mile / 1.5km) and endless choice in the town of les Sables d'Olonne. The nearest supermarket is just over a mile (2.2km). The town offers a lively centre and a vast beach with children's activities (3 miles / 5km). There is also horse riding, a casino, a boating lake, a zoo, spa baths and night clubs. The nearest golf course is at 4 miles / 6km and there are several others in the nearby area.

"Fantastic stay at Oasis Les Jardins. We have just returned from a fantastic week at Sables d’Olonne. We are a family of four but we booked the 3-bed Sophora as we wanted a pool. It was totally worth the additional cost. The pool was warm, clean and safe, and my daughters were in it from 8am – 8pm every day. The alarm was a reassuring feature and the water was checked several times during our stay. The villa was clean, spacious and well equipped. There was a welcome pack with everything we needed for day 1 but I would recommend bringing additional cloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin liners and kitchen/toilet roll to save a supermarket trip for day 2. Our villa was at the far end of the site but a perfect spot for us – private and quiet. The staff on site were helpful and the shop stocked the basics. My daughters did the croissant and baguette run there in the mornings which was fun for them. We mainly ate in so did not try the on site restaurants. Christophe at Select Villas was super helpful from start to finish and I cannot fault the service we received from him.
