Villa Acacia is one of the charming villas on this family-friendly holiday development on the Vendee coast, near to the popular resort town of Les Sables d’Olonne. It’s a calm select site, ideal for the children, offering you great additional facilities ; tennis, table tennis, giant chess and cycle hire. On site there is also a good restaurant, rated “Excellent” on Trip Advisor. The nearest beach of Le Tanchet is at just over a mile (2km) and the town centre, with its sea-front beach is at just over 3 miles (5km). You can pre-book cycle hire for your stay, making it really easy to get around. An ideal location for exploring the south-west Vendee and with loads of family holiday activities and places to visit nearby (see the local information section below).

“Fabulous first family holiday. Clean, tidy and spacious villa with own pool, our villa was not overlooked by other properties. Three good-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en suite), and very spacious living/dining/kitchen area. We went with two very small children and the villa layout worked well for us. The pool is perfectly adequate for cooling off and playing with plenty of inflatables! The reception area has a small shop, where you can buy essential food provisions, and the nearest supermarket is a 10-minute drive away. Oasis Les Jardins is an attractive setting, about a 10-minute walk from the coast. There are flat, sandy beaches slightly further up the coast towards Les Sables d’Olonne, which are accessible via about a 30-minute walk, or a 10-minute bike ride. Lots of bike paths everywhere, the area is very well setup for cycling! We drove down and took bikes and bike trailers with us in the van, but you can hire bikes/trailers etc from the reception. We’re certainly keen to return again, it’s a 670km drive from the Eurotunnel, but in our experience the French motorways are quiet and you can make good progress. We drove from Oasis Les Jardins back to Bristol with two under 3-year-olds in 1 day, so it’s doable. Thanks for the happy memories!” Richard W 2022

Les Sables d’Olonne (5km)
Les Sables d’Olonne is Vendee’s best known and largest resort. With its long promenade, choice of wide sandy beaches and excellent quayside restaurants, it is a popular destination for a family seaside holiday. It has a thriving fishing port and world class marina which is the start and finish point of the prestigious Vendee Globe sailing event, a single-handed race around the world.
Le Puy du Fou (93km)
With over 1.5 million visitors a year, Le Puy du Fou is the fourth most popular attraction in France. It is a fantastic attraction for all ages, and more than a theme park in the traditional sense. It offers a selection of wonderful historical shows ranging from Roman circus games to world-class falconry. The main show takes place in the evening on a huge outdoor stage behind the ruined castle. It tells the story of the 700 years of history in the area in the form of a memorable sound and light show.
St Gilles Croix de Vie (34km)
The attractive seaside resort and fishing harbour of St Gilles Croix de Vie straddles the River Vie. The resort has a beautiful promenade lined with shops, cafes and restaurants, with rocky coves and small beaches to the north of the river mouth and the main sandy beach to the south.
Noirmoutier (83km)
Noirmoutier is a delightful low-lying island just off the Vendee coast. Accessed by either an ancient tidal causeway or modern bridge this small isle has a real Mediterranean feel with its whitewashed houses with contrasting terracotta tiles and blue shutters surrounded by pine forests. The island makes its living mainly from the sea with oyster and mussel beds and small harbours with colourful fishing boats.
Ile D’Yeu (sailings from Fromentine 66km)
Ile D’Yeu is a small island lying six miles off the Vendee coast. It is a microcosm of the nearby mainland with a colourful fishing port, sandy beaches backed by dunes and pine forests, sheltered coves and low cliffs. The hour long ferry sails to Port-Joinville, a bustling harbour with and the main town on the island with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants lining harbour side.
Marais Poitevin (77km)
Known as the ‘Venise Verte’ or ‘Green Venice’ the Marais Poitevin is a tranquil wetland made up of natural watercourses, man-made canals as well as meadows, dykes and fens. This remarkable area of marshland is full of wildlife and the dominant features of the landscape are the poplar trees, which shade the waterways, bending and rustling in the wind. The best way to discover this wildlife haven is by boat and these can be hired from several local centres, including the pretty village of Coulon.

Who will be handling my enquiry and the booking ?
For these villas, our partner company Select Villas will be replying to your enquiry and will be able to answer any questions that you may have about the accommodation and facilities. They will be handling the booking process.
Will I know exactly which villa I am renting ?
Select Villas will propose an available property that meets your requirements and will provide you with the exact description, plus any photos that you may need to make your decision. Note that in particular there may be variations in the bedroom configurations, so you should specify your preferences for this aspect.
Are my holiday dates available ?
The calendar shown on the property page is regularly updated to show the overall availability for this type of villa. If the period is Green there will be a villa of this type available. If it is Red, then there are no villas of this type left available for this period. You will also see that there is an availability summary in the main site menu that allows you to check across all properties at a glance.
Can we do other than a Saturday to Saturday rental ?
Start days other than Saturday and non-standard durations are possible outside 27/6/26 to 29/8/26. Arrivals are not possible on Sundays.
Can we have 10 or 12 night rental ?

What price for these dates ?
Consult the pricing table on the property page and find the dates that correspond. The standard rental price per 7 nights is shown, in Euros. There are often discounts applicable to the standard prices shown, depending on when you make the booking, If you are looking for 10 – 12 nights or other durations you will get a specific quote. Please ensure that you have looked at the Charges and Options section and that you have noted any extras that will be payable, notably the linen hire, the end of stay cleaning and the local tax.
Note that some of the site facilities, for example the tennis, the cycle hire, are not free of charge and are paid on site.
Can I book on-line ?
Sorry, we don’t participate in the automated booking schemes proposed by some of the major publicity sites. There are good reasons for this and both ourselves and Select Villas much prefer the personal contact with clients. Please note that you get the same security of booking through an established company.
Is the swimming pool sole use ?
For all these villas, where a swimming pool is stated in the property description, then it is for sole use. There is also the possibility of a few villas without a swimming pool, which is a more ecomomical option. This is subject to a specific quotation.
Is the swimming pool heated ?
The private pool is open from April to the end of September. Pool heating is included in the rental price for 25/4/26 to 26/9/26 and available at €25 per day for other dates (requested at the time of booking and for the full duration of your stay). There may be a restriction on the dates for which this is possible in early and late season, depending on weather conditions and no garantie given on the temperature obtained. If this option is taken, the heating will be switched on well before your arrival, so it must be confirmed at the time of your reservation.
Is there internet access at the property ?
The site has a communal fibre WiFi system that you can log into. It is available 24/24, but please note that there may be peak periods of use where the bandwidth available may be limited.
How far is it to the nearest beach, to amenities ?
See the Locality Details section for the exact distances to local amenities. Note that on the site there is a good restaurant, as well as a bar, snack bar and a bread shop (June to September only). Hiring bicycles is recommended to get the best from your stay and to be able to cycle to the nearest beaches (book this in advance).
Are sheets and towels included in the rental ?
One set of sheets and towels are provided for a mandatory supplementary charge of 30€ per person. The beds are made for your arrival. You can pay for a further change of linen mid-stay if you wish.
Can we add more people, extra beds, etc. ?
The maximum sleeping capacity is indicated on the villa details. A baby in a cot is allowed over this number – note that space is limited in the bedrooms. You are not allowed to exceed this number, nor add additional guests, or visitors sleeping over.
How do I ask a question or make a reservation ?
Use the specific contact form available from the link on the property page. This will be sent directly to Select Villas, who will reply to your request within a few hours. Whilst you can of course contact Vendee-Gites for information and advice on these villas, it will be quicker for you to make the direct contact as above.
When will the payment be due ?
An initial deposit of 40% is required to secure the reservation (by card or by bank transfer). The remainder at 8 weeks before the holiday dates (same method). Reservations within the 8 weeks of the rented dates require the full payment.
What are the terms and conditions of rental ?
Select Villas will supply you with the full terms and conditions of rental. These may differ from the generic terms that are published on the Vendee-Gites website and applicable for other properties.
NB: A 49€ booking fee is applied to published prices and this will be shown in the quote.
